Viking Beer & Food Night 2019

Spring Equinox, March 21, 2019 at 5pm

Drink and eat like a viking during our Viking Night! We feature a unique menu of Scandinavian inspired cuisine (knives only, no forks allowed!) and a draft list full of beers from Denmark, Norway, and The Netherlands. Viking costumes are encouraged!

KLOSTERGARDEN HANDBRYGGERI (Nor)

Alstadberger AlderwoodSmoked Ale : Ancient Norwegian recipe alderwood-smoked flavor following kilning on an open fire, balanced with good caramel sweetness and rich malt body abv 6.5%

De MOLEN (NLD)

Heaven & Hell- Imperial Stout :  Chocolate and alcohol are right there at the front but do not at all overpower the gorgeousness that is underneath. Full of leather, vanilla, amazing wooden notes bitter tart finish abv 10.2%

Rook & Vuur – Rauchbier :  Perfectly balanced beer with hints of smoke and and small fire on your tongue.” abv 8.2%

To Øl (DEN)

Nordic by Nature Iipa:  IPA that has been beaten with Seabuckthorn and Juniper Berries and trashed over and over with hops. The result is a hazy deep orange IPA with a nice fruity and flowery aroma         abv 5.5%

EarthKveik -Ale:   Traditional Norwegian ale abv 7.4%

Hesjeol -Farmhouse:  traditional Norwegian farmhouse harvest ale refreshing fruity and floral ale with a slight smoky and spicy flavor abv 7.0%

 MIKKELLER (DEN)

Koppi- Ipa : A coffee roaster called ‘Koppi’ in Sweden, and the “IPA” end is provided by generous amounts of Tomahawk hops abv 6.9%

NØGNE Ø (NOR)

Frisk-Sour Ale :  traditional wild ale with rhubarb  abv 5,5%

Viking Blod -Mead : Nordic honey wine w/ hibiscus hops recipe from about year 1700 abv 19%
