The creative minds back in the Olde Magoun’s Saloon kitchen are at it again! Wednesdays in March we are featuring a fusion of French and Mexican cuisine. We can pretty much guarantee that you’ve never tasted anything like it.

melted cheese with chorizo served with crusty French bread

Duck Confit Tacos
pickled cabbage, crispy pork belly, toasted pumpkin seed crema

Chile Verde Avec Crepes
stuffed with savory braised pork & green chile ragout served with queso Oaxaca

red wine braised chicken, lardons, onions, mushrooms in salsa mole

Bistec & Yucca Fritas
pan seared bistro steak, shallots, natural pan sauce, hand cut crispy yucca fries with truffle vinaigrette

fresh P.E.I Mussels simmered with tequila, fire roasted corn, black beans, chicharones served with cilantro lime buerre blanc

You may think you know burgers, but you don’t really know burgers until you’ve tried our new Wednesday Menu for February. We are featuring the wonderful ground meat in 10 different dishes that are sure to please any burger lover and may even convert some of you that aren’t.

Mini burgers mixed with charred jalapeno & chorizo on skewers served with a side of melted cheese sauce for dipping

House made dumplings of ground hamburg & pork with diced onion, cheese served with special sauce

Hamburger, diced onions, Jack cheese, chopped pickles and our famous special sauce

Crumbled hamburger, cheese curds, waffle fries, bacon gravy and a soft fried egg served in a bowl

Fresh ground char-grilled lamb patty, goat cheese, pickles, red onions and spinach topped with mint yogurt sauce and served in a pita pocket with a side of fried chick peas

Chorizo and charred jalapenos, manchego cheese, romesco sauce on a Portuguese sweet roll with a side of hand cut fries dusted with smoked paprika

Hand packed patty with mix of North Country apple wood bacon, smoked pork and hamburger topped with fried green tomato, blue cheese and bacon mayo served with waffle fries

100% Angus beef, seared foie gras, raclette cheese and truffle mayo on a brioche roll with hand cut fries

Fresh ground beef mixed with chipotle, ghost and habanero peppers cooked in a cast iron skillet topped with charred jalapenos, pepper jack cheese and Sriracha sour cream with a side of jalapeno poppers

Char-grilled hamburger stuffed with American cheese and topped with a Pearl hot dog slider with a side of relish and served with baked beans

  • People’s Choice Award: one ballot per person, each ballot must contain 3 different chilis, most total votes wins
  • There are no subcategories
  • Judging is from 12pm-3pm sharp
  • Bring 1 gallon of chili, we will keep it hot

Weihenstephan Tap Takeover in February

The World’s Oldest Brewery, Weihenstephan is taking over our taps for the month of February.

Weihenstephan LogoThe Weihenstephan Brewery can trace it’s roots back to the year 768 where a document from the Benedictine abbey mentions a hop garden paying tithe to the monastery. The brewery was licensed by the City of Freising in 1040, which is the founding date claimed by the modern brewery. We are featuring 10 of their classic beers as well as a couple of modern special editions. This is a rare opportunity to try some of the best and most classic German beers all in one place.
