Green Flash East Village Pilsner Night

East Village Pilsner Night with Green Flash

Tuesday, July 15 from 6-8pm

We got our hands on some East Village Pilsner from Green Flash Brewing Co so we decided to throw a party! We rarely see this beer on draft in this part of the country, so don’t miss this opportunity to try it!

On Draft:

East Village Pilsner, 5.3% ABV, 35 IBUs

west-coast-ipa-bottleMade from premium European pilsner malt and Noble hops, traditional pilsner lager yeast ferments the beer and imparts a clean flavor and unique character. East Village Pilsner has a bit more hop than even the best European examples, making it truly a Green Flash Original.

Le Freak, 9.2% ABV, 101 IBUs

Le Freak is the first-ever hybrid ale of its kind: the convergence of a Belgian-Style Trippel with an American Imperial IPA. Spawned over barstool pontifications between Publican and Brewmaster, this zesty Amarillo dry-hopped, bottle-conditioned marvel entices with fruity Belgian yeast aromatics and a firm, dry finish. Experience a legendary beer phenomenon.

West Coast IPA, 8.1% ABV, 95 IBUs

As craft beer pioneers, they embarked on an expedition to brew the benchmark West Coast IPA. They ventured into the unknown and struck gold, discovering a tantalizing menagerie of hops. Simcoe for tropical and grapefruit zest, Columbus for hop pungency, Centennial for pine notes, Citra for citrus zest and Cascade for floral aroma are layered throughout the brewing process. West Coast IPA exemplifies the Green Flash spirit of adventure and discovery.

Anderson Valley Tap Takeover

Anderson Valley Brewing Company Tap Takeover

Monday, July 7th at 6pm

anderson-valley-brewing-logoOn Monday, July 7th, Anderson Valley Brewing Company is taking over our taps! This brewery is named for the valley in which they are located in Northern California. Around the turn of the century, Anderson Valley was a very isolated farming and logging community. To pass the time, the locals began to use self-developed terms that became a regional dialect called Boontling. Many of the Anderson Valley beer names come from this linguistic phenomenon.

Founded in 1987, the Anderson Valley Brewing Company brewed out of a 10-barrel brewhouse, located in the lower level of its brewpub, The Buckhorn Saloon. Gleaming stainless steel vats brewed and fermented barley and other specialty grains to create outstanding ales, porters, stouts, and wheat beers. These brews began as a dream of Kenneth Allen to create the smoothest tasting ales available anywhere.

When the demand for their award winning ales exceeded the capacity of their 10-barrel brewery below the pub, they built their present 30-barrel facility at the corner of Highways 128 and 253, a mile from the center of Boonville. That was in 1996, and this brewery saw them through a dramatic period of growth, which included the introduction of a 12 ounce bottling line and a production level of 15,000 barrels in 1998, twice the amount brewed in 1997.

Moa Brewing Tap Takeover June 16 2014

When the Moa Brewery was built it was plonked between the vines in the world famous winemaking region of Marlborough, New Zealand, which isn’t surprising considering the founder of Moa, Josh Scott, is a winemaker and according to him, “It takes a lot of beer to make a good wine”. Conveniently, it’s quite a nice place to live and provides the perfect environment for brewing.

Moa Beer itself is brewed using traditional costly, inefficient and labour intensive techniques, with a focus on local ingredients, including internationally renowned New Zealand hops. It is rounded off through the use of winemaking techniques, like barrel ageing and bottle fermentation and conditioning (like they do with Champagne).

We bring you an exciting event focusing on these amazing craft beers from New Zealand. Check out the lineup below!
